Good answer

Question:
'for those that have had trust issues and no longer do, or jealousy issues - how do you get over them?'

My Answer:
"First, I developed self esteem - being in any relationship without it is not a good idea.

Then, I decided that I could only control my own choices in the relationship. I am going to trust the other person and I cannot control what the other person decides to do with my trust."

"Is she cycling yet?"

Today, I took my almost 11 year old daughter to the doctor for Achilles tendon pain.  She is a very active girl - like her mother.  I swim, bike, and run.  My daughter runs and does gymnastics.  While examining her heel, the doctor asked me "Is she cycling yet?"  To which I replied, "Not a lot.  I take her out with me every now and then."

I am eternally embarrassed.  The good news is that my daughter is fine.  My kiddo has these massive growth spurts that cause her tendon pain because of all of the weight bearing exercise that she does.  Last year, it was her knees or Osgood-Schlatter's.  This year it appears to be her Achilles tendon or Sever's.  Once her growth slows the pain goes away.  In the meantime, she is not doing any permanent damage by continuing her activities.

I am glad that she is not "cycling" yet.  I was surprised to hear that our girls are starting at eight years old now.  Wow!
